Good value on an RS System

I bought the RS Series fire suppression system during a holiday special, which offered a small discount. I had been watching prices for a while, and this was the best deal I could find for a system of this quality. The cost felt justified with the savings and the overall peace of mind it provides for my off-road vehicle. It's an investment, but the value for money was there for me.

System refill service was easy

I recently used their fire system refill service for my racing setup, and the process was pretty straightforward. I sent in my old cylinder, and it took about 10 days from when I shipped it out to when the refilled one came back, which was reasonable. The communication was good; I got an email when they received it and another when it shipped. Everything came back looking great, pressure gauge was spot on. I appreciated that they also checked the activation head as part of the service. It gives me confidence that everything is up to spec for the next race season. The cost for the refill was fair, too, considering the specialized nature of the Novec 1230 agent.

Portable extinguisher was fine

Needed a portable fire extinguisher for the garage, so I ordered one from Safecraft. It arrived in about a week, which was totally fine. Packaging was good, and the extinguisher looks solid. Nothing fancy, just a straightforward purchase. It'll do the job if I ever need it.

Got the LT Series fire suppression system for my race car, and I absolutely love it! The installation was smooth, and it just feels so well-built. I feel so much safer on the track now. Definitely shopping here again, and I'm telling all my racing buddies!

Hey, thinking about grabbing one of their fire systems for my UTV. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get one of these, like to California?

B Brett Ito 3 months ago
Mine took about 2 weeks from when I ordered to when it showed up. That was a standard kit though, not a custom one.

Yeah, if it's a custom setup, it can be longer. I heard someone say theirs took a month and a half. For regular stuff, it's pretty quick though, like a week or two for most states I think.

Are these Safecraft systems actually good, or should I just go with something cheaper like a Kidde? Trying to figure out if the price difference is worth it for my drag car.

Safecraft is definitely legit. SFI approved and all that. My buddy runs one in his sprint car, no issues. Kidde is more for like, home use from what I've seen.

Totally worth it for racing. Safecraft uses Novec 1230 which is supposed to be way better for electronics and clean up than some of the older stuff. Plus, they're rechargeable so you don't toss the whole thing after a discharge. Big difference from cheaper options.
